Solar Panels

These are solar power system in which solar modules (solar panels) are integrated into, or mounted on top of, the structure of a roof.

Solar roof tile
There are now several types of roofing and facade materials that have photovoltaics built right in. This means that your roof can keep the rain out when it’s rainy and generate electricity when the sun shines. Consider solar electric roofing when you are planning to install a new roof or build a new house. We have developed a variety of preferred roofing techniques that are suitable for a variety of different roof materials.

A Premier integrated solar roof tile system can solar power your whole house.  A Solar roof tile is not Just on the roof, it is a part of the roof since the solar roof tile interlocks with most concrete tiles.  The secret behind the sleek, streamlined design are interlocking solar tiles fit to the exact shape of your roof. This exclusive interlocking technique blends with the style and architecture of your home. The new shingle enables roofs of residential or commercial buildings to become sources of electricity as well as protection from the elements.

  • The solar panel is a deep blue color that blends well with the brown and gray tiles of roofing.
  • The solar panels are light; they weigh about 2.5 lbs per sqft.
  • They are seamlessly constructed.
  • These solar panels are very low maintenance and very durable.

Generate electricity with a solar panel roof mounted system.
You can become a solar power producer with your own Premier Power turnkey roof mounted solar system. These solar roof panel mounted systems are installed on most roof styles including metal.

Usually, the best location for solar modules is a south-facing roof, but roofs that face east or west may also be acceptable. Flat roofs also work well for solar power systems, because solar modules can be mounted flat on the roof facing straight up or fixed to on frames tilted toward the south at an optimal angle .

One of the problems with earlier generations of solar panel mounting was that there was no consideration for the expansion and contraction of the solar panels. These “big black things” stand in the heat of the sun all day then cool off every night. Consequently, the mounting would shift daily and eventually dig into the roof shingles. Ask your solar installer if he or she is aware of this problem. This is the typical mounting arrangement, and professional installers do account for it, but don’t assume that all of them do.

Urban homes and businesses would use roof mounting to support the larger array of solar modules. Roof mounted systems are safe and modest when installed by professionals.
